New change does NOT help. New users think they might be able to download the file they want by creating a free user account. When they discover they are not, they pay afterwards -> no sale for you. IMHO the new signup is cheating the uploaders for sales.

Fileserve pays on Wednesdays. Every week up to payment day, the thread is filled with users complaining about not getting paid. Go read the entire thread.
