Depends on the content. But I would guess that if you had the mysql (and that is where all information is stored) then just put the mysql datbase on one server and access that server to read all the mysql information.
All other static information can be stored on both servers.
It could be you or your host has hot linking or direct linking disabled in the cpanel.
Or you have a .htaccess that only allows that folder or all images from being accessed directly.
