We're paying up to $7 depending on the performance in the previous month. The rate has not changed since us taking over imgtrex.com roughly a month ago.

They're not a scam host. They made the mistake of advertising their network on digitalpoint which has a huge Asian following all too happy to abuse the service with automated traffic, bot networks and stuff like that. They're now suffering from the backlash and have fewer advertisers active...
ImageTwist.com is quite popular with video posters whereas IMG.YT is becoming increasingly popular with gallery posters. Both offer an above average rate.
ImgChili.net is stable but does not offer a competing rate.
The number of complaints about shaving are getting ridiculous. There is no shaving going on.
Here are two screen caps. If anything the number of sales show an upwards trend. Take a look at site sales (which translates to sales being attributed to uploaders such as the posters in this thread).
