We've had reports of legit uploaders getting hit with bogus/forged DMCA notices targeting their own original content — so we just shipped a way to protect yourself from that.
If you genuinely own (or are authorized to distribute) what you upload, you can now self-file a sworn ownership attestation that protects your content from bulk takedown processing:
Per-video: go to any video's management page → "Ownership Attestation" → type the confirmation phrase exactly. Protects just that upload.
Account-wide: Account settings → "DMCA Ownership Attestation" → same process, but covers everything on your account, current and future, in one go.
How it works: it's not a magic immunity switch — it's a sworn statement ("I swear under penalty of perjury that I own or am authorized to distribute this content"). Once filed, our bulk-removal tool skips that content automatically. False attestations are on you, not us — so only use it if it's actually true.
This doesn't touch anything else on your account (earnings, status, etc.) — it's purely a takedown-protection layer for honest uploaders dealing with harassment via fake claims.
