Should we have a nice rule and afew guidelines.

So it stops all the threads + begging etc.

IF it went ahead, what would you expect the guidelines to be?

Do you really need any ? :|

Its solely upon people if they wanna share any invites they will share, else the thready will just die inactive

I mean what can even be a rule for sharing or asking someone for a invite ?

Post your seed ratio which can be changed using firebug ?

Maybe post your profile link to some good trackers :|

Even just normal giveaways are shady, if only half the people actually read the invite rules in the 1st place.

Take RevoTT for an example.

  • DO NOT Invite users from banned countries. Inviting users from any of the following countries will result in both the inviter & invitees accounts being banned:-
Brazil, Egypt, India, Iran, Israel, Pakistan, Portugal, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Turkey.
So if i made a thread giving an invite away, i'd have a pretty good chance of anyone who i invited from here would get banned and so would i.

Edit:

Plus it only takes google to spread this abit, and most trackers would probably ban/ip users from here pretty easy.

Instead, just open an Official stickied thread for Giving Out/Exchanging Torrent Invites, so people won't have to open a new thread everytime.
So you can close all 'begging' threads and tell them to visit this official thread.

I agree. I have no idea why people think they'll get a torrent invite here. (although I must say I got an IPT torrent from here, but a guy was offering it himself)

EDIT: Still, I think torrent invites aren't illegal and there's no reason why they shouldn't be allowed

@ajinkya9

They're not illegal, at least not in third world countries (yet). But what does torrenting have to do with webmastering? But reply honestly, as it has nothing to do with webmastering. I understand that most of our new members aren't into webmastering, but these file hosts will eventually close and they won't have any knowledge even though they had a chance to learn whatever they needed to develop/run a simple website.

Because theres actually rules on sites about invite(s) giving and not doing them in public view.

For example:

I could send a lovely PM to someone from IPT and they'd have a field day in humours thread matching up all the emails/usernames

Um, I for one believe that people should be given a fair chance for obtaining torrent invites. I mean seriously, why does RevTT/SCC have to ban Indians. Just because some asshole did some shit does not in any way make the rest of us Indians suffer.
It gets racial for Christ's sake!

I'm not a hit and run guy, neither are my friends. BitTorrent is all about sharing.
Not banning countries altogether!

Private trackers are for some made private, so it would be good if they remain private. Those who want should find out themselves like most of us did. :)

Please don't turn this into some anti-indian invite thread.

But yeah, it's abit harsh, but it only takes certain users from some countries to sell/share accounts and get banned for it for trackers to notice.

And, we are talking 1000's not like 3 or maybe 4 btw.

Yeah exactly, but what i'm getting at is, not have it all in full view to non members/google/probation members + users under a certain post count type of thing.

Trackers ask to hand out invites to people you trust or in a restricted based group site/forums, not in public view so anyone can grab it.

Then people have a shit fit when they get banned/deleted due to the site seeing it all over google or a fellow member seeing it and reporting it.

Personally i say no, If you want an Invite, Go find one, Theres many a place too.

Seeing people just randomly tossing invites to any Tom, Dick or Harry that asks for one is stupid, These trackers are hard to get into for a reason, Im sure if they wanted any Tom, Dick or Harry they would open their doors to them.

If WJ were to do Invites there would deff need to be some sort of ruleset in place, Whether it be SpeedTests, Seedb0xProofs or RatioProofs.

Edit.
No Trading, Selling or Buying of Invites should be allowed.

So its just a couple of people's fault and we all are suffering for it? That is sad.
And yes, I too do agree with this that torrent invites should be hard to get lol.

@ kundurocks

You really think just afew users selling from a certain country would effect near enough most private trackers ?

We are all talking 1000's doing it.

Because they are maybe afraid of giving away decent invites.

Heck, i've had Scc,what.cd,gft invites and i've not given them out here.

It's abit obvious why aswell.
