I have an adult video streaming site with 190+ referring domains and 4.1 million backlinks, but it’s still not ranking well on search engines.

Also, in Google Search Console, around 1000 pages are "Crawled - Currently Not Indexed."

What could be the issue? Are my backlinks being ignored, or is there something else affecting my ranking? Any insights would be appreciated!

Only the number of backlinks isn't enough to get good rankings these days. You should do an audit of these backlinks and disavow low quality backlinks.

- how new is your website? (you might be sandbox)
- how many DMCA requests do you get per day?
- did you rush to get those backlinks?
- you should diversify and not rely on backlinks and SE too much traffic
- there are many other ways to get traffic for adult content

It sounds like you're doing a lot right with your backlinks, but search engine rankings depend on more than just links. First, the "Crawled - Currently Not Indexed" issue might mean Google doesn’t see enough value in those pages to include them in its index. This could be due to thin or duplicate content, poor internal linking, or even technical issues like slow page load times or improper canonical tags.

As for your backlinks, quality matters more than quantity. If many of your backlinks come from low-authority or irrelevant sites, Google might not value them as much. It’s also possible that Google sees your site as having low topical relevance or user experience issues, like intrusive ads or hard-to-navigate structures, which can hurt rankings despite strong backlinks.

I’d recommend auditing your content for relevance and depth, ensuring your site speed is optimized, and checking for proper indexing signals like meta tags and structured data. Fixing these foundational elements often helps Google better understand and rank your site.
